Currenlty on ebay in South Australia is a Rover 90, it is a 1955 model, it is in need of work, but looks to be all there – should you be seeking out a project. Here is a picture and the ebay auction link:
If you’ve always dreamed of the Tickford Drophead Coup`e but could never come up with the required pounds to buy the origional…. Then how about this project?
Rover P4 1959 – Rare Convertible – 4 Speed Manual with Overdrive – 2.6Litre Straight 6
This Aunty had been asleep (Garaged) for the last 21 years – would you believe – with a new battery and petrol she awoke within 30 seconds upon pushing the starter button – amazing but true!
Brake slave cylinders were seized – drivers front slave cylinder remains seized but drivable.
Gearbox and steering firm without any looseness, drivers’ rear door and boot needs to be sprayed in, overall very little rust for age. Exhaust tail pipe needs replacing; probably a service/tune-up would suffice.
I don’t know when the car was converted to soft top, probably well before last registration in 1991. Some slight stitching (10cm) to soft top required. Rear Perspex – rear vision/soft top also needs replacing, see pictures. Other pictures upon request.
